Using AI as a Pre-Visualization Tool for Photography

Welcome back to another installment of “How I Got The Shot!”

In this episode, Ryan Sims shows us how he utilizes AI (Midjourney) for pre-visualization in his photography with model Allee Sutton.

Ryan used three Celestials and two Links in total. For the rim lights with the Links, he used 2 14″ x 60″ Foldable Stripboxes. For the key light he used a 35″ Octabox, a 24″ Silver Interior Beauty Dish underneath the model, and a 7″ Reflector against the backdrop. He used Color Gel Domes to create the colors he created in the pre-visualization!

For the second setup, Ryan kept the lighting the same except for removing the reflector pointed at the backdrop.

He changed out the color gel domes to the Color Correcting Gel Domes to create a warm gold tone.
