Creating Versatile 5-Light Setups

Welcome back to another installment of “How I Got The Shot!”

For this video, Kyle implements using a five light setup that he will make slight modifications to, achieving a range of different final images.

With exception to the key light, the lights are simply turned on and off or gelled.

Kyle had two Link Units with 14″ x 60″ Foldable Stripboxes on each on either side of the model, lighting her from the back.

Directly behind the model, he placed a Celestial Flash Unit with a 7″ Reflector facing the backdrop.

As a fill, Kyle used a Celestial Flash Unit with a 86” Soft Silver PLM Umbrella.

For the key light, Kyle switched between using a 35″ Octabox with grid, a 7″ Reflector with grid, LiteMod Snoot.

By making small changes to the lighting setup, Kyle was able to produce a shoot with a variety of final images in minimal time!

Special thanks to our model Layne Porter and our H/MUA Cassy Laessig.
